How to search for a patient

Quick Search (patient name or MRN)

At the top of your dashboard, type a patient name or MRN into the Search patient box. Sonio matches as you type. The quick box searches the patient name and MRN.

Advanced Search

Click the search box (or the filter icon) to open advanced search. You can filter by:

Patient Name
MRN (ID number)
Date of birth
Exam date range
Tags (if tags are enabled for your site)

Click Search to apply, or use Clear filters to reset.

Note: By default, search is limited to the tab you’re currently viewing and respects its filters (date, site, and more). That means patient exams outside those filters won’t display.

To search across all exams, switch to a view/tab that is filtered on ALL exams.

Common questions / troubleshooting

I cannot find a patient.

Switch to ALL (your tab's filters may be excluding them), check the spelling, and try the MRN.

Can I search by accession or order number?

No. Search is only functional with patient name, MRN, Exam Date, DOB, or Tags.
